Dr. Troy Samchuk
Dr. Troy Samchuk, B.Sc, DC, has been in practice in Edmonton since 2005. Dr. Samchuk received his designation as Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta, where he specialized in Biological Sciences and Science Psychology. Since graduating, Dr. Samchuk has completed numerous continuing educational courses specializing in Activator (instrument adjusting) and Diversified (manual adjusting) Techniques.
Dr. Samchuk’s specialized training enables him to diagnose a patient’s condition, to reduce pain from injuries and to get them back into top performing shape whether they are weekend warriors or are professional athletes. The treatment regime that is offered at Back In Line targets not only the back but also the knees, wrists, shoulders and ankles – the extremities and their related injuries that can hamper one’s lifestyle, enjoyment of life and overall physical function.
Dr. Winnie Woo
Dr. Winnie Woo was born and raised in Edmonton, AB. She attended Old Scona Academic High and her post secondary studies at University of Alberta. After three years in the science program she was accepted into the Chiropractic program at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She was awarded her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in June 2014, where she simultaneously attended McMaster University to receive her diploma in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture. With an interest in soft tissue injuries, Dr. Woo became certified in Active Release Therapy (A.R.T), Graston Soft Tissue Mobilization and Kinesio Taping.
Dr. Woo is also a certified personal trainer who lives an active lifestyle, and has always been involved in playing and coaching various sports such as basketball, badminton, and snowboarding. With her passion in health and wellness, she will tailor a treatment plan to each individuals needs to decrease pain, restore range of motion and flexibility for optimal living.
Dr. Woo practices both acupuncture and chiropractic at our office and works Thursday evenings until 7:30pm.
Dr. Rob Kochmarski
Dr. Rob Kochmarski was born and raised in the small town of Thorhild, Alberta. He has been a patient of chiropractic since the age of five, and a patient of Back In Line and Dr. Samchuk since 2011. He was drawn to chiropractic because of its natural and drug free effective treatment of his spinal pains and headaches. After graduating from Thorhild Central School he started to pursue his passion for health and wellness by beginning his lifelong goal of becoming a chiropractor. He started by receiving his Bachelor of Science in human nutrition from the University of Alberta. Then he decided to take on the challenge of chiropractic college and moved to Toronto. He graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic, with the highest honours, in June of 2017 from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. ln addition, he also completed the Functional Integrated Acupuncture and Mental Health First Aid programs. Today his hobbies are cooking and baking (Especially trying to master the recipes of his Ukrainian and Polish heritage. While delicious, not always so nutritious.), live music, traveling, camping, and skiing in the mountains.
As a chiropractor, Dr. Kochmarski works to diagnose and individually tailor a treatment plan to meet your specific needs with any of the complex issues concerning the bones, joints, muscles, and nerves. This is not just limited to the back, but the whole body. So remember: If it hurts, see a chiropractor! Dr. Kochmarski is in clinic Monday/Wednesday mornings, Tuesday/Thursday evenings, and every second Saturday. He is also looking forward to offering acupuncture in the spring of 2018.
Nadine Melymick, RMT
We are excited to have Nadine join the team at Back In Line. Nadine has training in several massage therapy techniques and looks forward to working with our wonderful clients.
Rigel Carias, RMT
Rigel is an alumi from the Grant MacEwan massage therapy program. Rigel is very experienced with athletes – having been a part of the rehabilitation aspect of many local hockey teams. She loves working with patients of all ages and is eager to learn and expand her massage skills here at Back In Line. She is avilable evenings and weekends.
Leandra Yellowbird, RMT
Leandra is our newest massage therapist here at the clinic. She is also a graduate from the Grant Macewan Massage program. She is well versed in many various techniques from relaxation to myofasical release. Leandra is comfortable with pre-natal massage as well as athletic massage. She works 5 days a week here at Back In Line. We are excited to have her on board!
Laya Beauregard, RMT
Laya is a registered massage therapist with a 2000 hour diploma in Massage Therapy. Laya loves her career, wants to continue learning, and would like to rid the world of aches and pain.
Nhu Ton (Office Manager/Acupuncturist)
Nhu is the most recent member of our team, she has also completed her acupuncture training and will be offering acupuncture through our clinic starting the summer of 2017. Nhu works week days at the front desk and assists the doctors with treatments.
Amanda Digness (Office Manager)
Amanda works weekdays and helps assist the chiropractors with treaments and helps run the front of the office.
Taylor White (Chiropractic Assistant)
Taylor works Tuesday evenings, Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings in our office. She is currently studying business at NAIT.
Renee Brochu (Chiropractic Assistant)
Renee grew up in Edmonton and works evening and weekend shifts in our office.
